ℹ️Portable generator — a wheeled, gasoline- or propane-fueled backup generator, typically 3,000–10,000 running watts, used to power select circuits during short outages. Lifespan is roughly 1,000–2,000 hours of use, 10–15 years with good maintenance — but most failures come from fuel and storage neglect, not the engine wearing out.
